Canterbury Caledonian Pipe Band Prep for National Championship

The Grade 1 Canterbury Caledonian Pipe Band are in full swing with their National Championship preparations.  The provincial championships on March 8th 2010 were a good indicator of where they stood, only a week out from the “Big One”.  The band is in a very healthy state boasting 24 pipers, 11 side drummers, six tenors and two bass drummers.

Leaders, Richard Hawke and James Laughlin, are enjoying the direction and feedback from World Champion Tenor Drummer Tyler Fry and World Champion Pipe Major Nat Russell.

Good luck to all the bands heading up to the big event in Masterton.
